Dyckman Street Landing, Manhattan

Back to Map

This is a nice little beach at the west end of Dyckman Street in Upper Manhattan. It’s protected by a pier that, as of last summer, was fenced off—but with a kayak-sized hole cut in the fencing. There’s a restaurant just to the south of the pier, a small marina, and further south, a few old canoe clubs.

Dyckman Street is an official City Parks kayak and canoe launch site. Among other things, that means you are supposed to have a kayak and canoe permit if you want to launch there (click here for details).
